Michael Fishwick Darwin Undone by Geology  Sir Roderick Impey Murchison is a name that few are familiar with today. A world renown geologist and a contemporary of Darwin, he owned an original edition copy of the Origin of Species that was sold at auction recently.  Murchison's copy of the book is beginning to cause another stir amongst geologists and those interested in the history of scientific thought. For inside its pages are scribbled numerous notes and comments, many of them dismissive of Darwin as a credible scientist, and of his theory. Read more ... Oct 13, 2006

The slab, which is more than one hundred meters long, has only been forming since November 2005, but looks to all the world as though it could have been there for millions of years of alleged geological time. Science Implicitly Recognizes Design, Not Chance
Evolutionism teaches its followers that blind chance underlies the developmental mechanisms of the structural components of life. Although many scientists may pay unthinking lip service to this philosophical assumption, practical reality dictates that scientific research operates upon the acknowledgement of design.

Evolution Deceives Quebec Priests - Critics of Church Teaching on Homosexual Condition
Nineteen priests from Quebec, Canada engendered great scandal with a public letter on February 26th 2006. The open letter, printed in the Montreal newspaper "La Presse' called, "Trop, c'est trop!" Furthermore, the priests use the discredited theory of evolution to justify their position. Read more...

Cardinal Schonborn Statement on Evolution - July 14, 2005

As most of you know, a major event took place on the origins front last Friday, when the New York Times published a letter by Cardinal Schonborn--with the blessing in advance of Pope Benedict XVI--dismissing as unfounded any and all claims that the Catholic Faith is compatible with Darwinian evolution. This action may be the first positive step by the Vatican leadership on the origins front since the monitum against the writings of Teilhard de Chardin in the 1960's. But much work remains to be done.

Third International Catholic Conference on Creation
Held October 15-27, 2004

      Over two hundred people turned out on October 15-17, 2004 at Christendom College in Front Royal, VA to hear world class Catholic experts teach on the subject of theology, philosophy and natural science defending the topic of Genesis as true history. Conference speakers included:

Gerard J. Keane, Australian author of Creation Rediscovered (hear mp3 sample);
Mr. Robert Sungenis, President of Catholic Apologetics International (hear mp3 sample);

The Kolbe Center responds to the
New Oxford Review !

The April issue of New Oxford Review (NOR) featured an article entitled,  “How Old is the Earth?” by Dr. Dermott Mullan. The article is critical of biological evolution but is very conciliatory towards cosmic evolution, the big bang theory and a great age of the universe. The article mentions recent activities of the Kolbe Center and the growth of young earth creationism within the Catholic Church. The article rightly takes a dim view of fundamentalism, defined as a literal interpretation of the Bible without regard to historical or literary context, Sacred Tradition, or the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.  However, it strongly implies that anyone who believes in a literal historical interpretation of Genesis and a (relatively) young earth is ipso facto a “fundamentalist.”
